February Awareness Campaigns

promoting health and wellbeing

From your Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Posted: 8 February 2022 · Practice news

Every month the Academy Medical Centre Patient Participation Group raises awareness about health and wellbeing.

February is National Heart Month, and the British Heart Foundation website includes lots of information about what to lookout for and how to prevent it.

Children’s Mental Health Week is on 7-13 February. Visit www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk. The theme this year is "Growing Together", and the website includes free resources will help you take part in the week. All of the ideas can be adapted for use in school, for home-schooling, online lessons or independent learning. Also visit www.twinkl.org.uk for information and advice.

About the PPG

The Academy Medical Centre PPG has worked with the practice since 2010 to enhance the delivery of primary care services in a number of areas.

You can make a difference to the Practice too! To get involved or find out more about the work and how the PPG assists the practice and you, the patient, see the Academy Medical Centre PPG page. Notes of our meetings are also available to give you a real flavour of what we're doing.
