DUNDEE & ANGUS ADHD SUPPORT GROUP

ADHD Support: Free Impact Courses

Posted: 1 December 2022 · Practice news

These free IMPACT courses run in Dundee and Angus and are for young people with a primary diagnosis of ADHD and their parents/carers. They run simultaneously for 6 weeks.

Young people will learn more about their condition, how to self-manage, communicate how they are feeling and understand their emotions, as well as improve their social skills.

Parents/carers will learn more about ADHD, what it feels like to have the condition, new approaches to support their young person and self-care strategies, as well as meeting other parents/carers.

Each week the parents/carers will be told what their young person is learning to continue to practice at home. The outcome will be a stronger family unit, better communication and improved confidence for everyone.
