Text Reminders Service Suspended
We have been informed by our local IT Support Desk that problems have arisen with our method of sending text reminders.
This problem has arisen since the practice migrated from NHSMail to Exchange Online. The IT Desk have been working hard with both the National Team and Patient Text Reminder providers to provide a solution that will allow migration to our current @nhs.scot email addresses for the purposes of sending SMS and emails through the new platform.
Deadlines have been extended to allow for solutions to be developed and approved but the current email platform using @nhs.net email addresses has now ceased and has led to disruption in the ability to send SMS appointment confirmations/reminders and communications via our current system.
This message is to make patients aware that until a solution is found they will no longer receive text messages from the practice but please be reassured that all teams involved are working extremely hard to find a workable solution and to get our text service working again.
We will keep you updated of any changes as and when they arise, both here and on our Facebook page and Twitter. Please consider following us on social media to keep up-to-date with practice news.
